Remembering pills and medication

While Easicare-Calls can remind you of any household task, the most popular reminder is for medication. Easicare-Calls can be used to remind you to take any form of pills or medication. This includes:

They can have as many of these messages as are needed throughout the day.

We recommend that pills or medication are left by the phone to maximise effectiveness.

Medication reminders can be partnered with wellbeing checks. So if a medication reminder phone call is not answered, a neighbour or family member can be informed by text, phone or email. For example: Someone with Diabetes may need a morning and evening reminder for medication. If either call is not answered (after a couple of attempts) then the neighbour could be informed as they may have had a seizure. You can read more about alerts here.

Easicare-Calls can be used to remind someone of any household tasks. For example:

These messages can be recorded by either a member of Easicare-Calls staff or a voice familiar to the call receiver e.g a son or daughter. You can read more about personalised message recording here.

Alerts are an optional part of CareCalls. It is possible to just receive the phone calls without alerts going out if they are missed.

How alerts help

How alerts work

  1. Easicare-Calls calls the call receiver, the call is not answered.
  2. The Easicare-Calls system will wait for 10 minutes (by default, this can be increased/decreased on request).
  3. Easicare-Calls calls the call receiver, the call is not answered.
  4. Any or all of the following can then happen:
